I grabbed a couple of bags from Manhattan Coffee Roasters to use for filter coffee, mostly because I’d been hearing good things and I was running low on beans on a rainy Tuesday. The packaging looked nice, and I was weirdly excited to dial them in with my usual morning setup.
One of the coffees was actually enjoyable — clean, sweet, and easy to drink while I was half-awake making toast. The other one just never really came alive for me, even after changing the grind a few times and trying a couple different recipes. It wasn’t bad, just kind of flat, especially for the price.

Shipping was totally fine, and I did appreciate the info on the bags since I like knowing what I’m brewing. I might order from them again if something catches my eye, but for filter coffee, this round felt more average than amazing for me

I’ve ordered from Manhattan Coffee Roasters a few times now, and it’s been a bit inconsistent. One bag was really enjoyable and had the kind of flavor I was hoping for, but then I ordered the same coffee again and it tasted noticeably darker, flatter, and just not as fresh or balanced.
For what they charge, I’d expect the quality to be a little more reliable from bag to bag. Shipping was fine and the packaging looked good, but the roast variation makes me hesitate to order again because I’m not totally sure what I’ll get next time.

Grind was even. Worked great in my moka pot. No issues.

I’ve gotta say, I kind of like how Manhattan does limited releases without making them feel totally impossible to grab. I managed to pick up a bag before it sold out, and it showed up just fine. The coffee was fresh, really tasty, and yeah, no complaints from me at all.

I went on the website just to order some coffee, and it was kind of a pain. Pages were loading really slowly, and the cart confused me more than it should have. Maybe it was just having a bad day, I don’t know, but I had to click around way too much to find basic stuff. It looked fine at first, but after a few minutes I got irritated and just gave up.

The coffee itself was totally fine, but the bag looked a little dented when I opened the box?! Not a huge deal, and nothing was ruined, but I do think it could’ve been packed a bit better.

Am I the only one who had a weirdly frustrating time trying to check out? I was just trying to order a bag of coffee, but my shipping info disappeared once, and then the payment page sat there loading forever. I ended up having to start over, which was annoying.
The final total also wasn’t really clear until the very end, and I’m not a fan of that. The coffee might be great, but the whole buying process was messy enough that I just gave up.

I ordered a couple of bags after hearing about it and was really happy with them. Both tasted fresh, but the funky filter roast was the one I kept going back to. Delivery was quick and easy too, which was nice. No complaints from me.

I've ordered from them a few times now. Same thing every time — coffee shows up fresh, no weird delays, no issues. I just feel like I can trust them with my order. Simple as that.

I picked up a bag to try and really enjoyed it. The flavor has some nice complexity to it, with a bit of fruitiness, but it’s not so funky that it feels over the top. It’s definitely a little on the pricey side for me, but if you’re into coffees with more interesting flavor notes, I’d say it’s worth checking out

I was happy with these beans. They smelled fresh right away and the roast tasted just right to me. I made a few cups at home and each one came out clean not bitter or harsh. Definitely feels like good quality coffee

I actually liked the coffee, which makes this more annoying, but the subscription side was a pain. Trying to change the delivery date or skip an order felt way harder than it needed to be, and once it started I felt kind of trapped. For what it costs, I expected the account settings to be simple and flexible. In the end I cancelled because I don’t want to spend time fighting with a website just to manage my coffee.

I was curious to try their coffee, and the coffee itself was fine. Nothing really to complain about there. But for me, the shipping cost made the whole order feel a little hard to justify, especially since I was only buying a small amount. By the time I got to checkout, it just felt more expensive than it was worth. I probably wouldn’t order again unless the shipping came down.

The decaf tasted really good—almost suspiciously good. I didn’t feel like I was missing the caffeine at all, so they clearly know what they’re doing

I ordered a bag from Manhattan Coffee Roasters i was a little suspicious at first because the price seemed decent for specialty coffee. But it turned out to be fair for the quality. It’s definitely not the cheapest coffee out there, but it tasted fresh and the bag lasted me a good while. Shipping was a bit slower than I hoped, which made me wonder for a second, but overall I’d say it was good value for the money.

At first I thought it seemed fresh enough, or actually, maybe not as fresh as I expected. The bag had this slightly old smell to it, which kind of threw me off.

I usually just look for a couple familiar regions and go from there, and the single origin selection felt a bit limited to me. Not bad, just not a lot to choose from if you’re trying to quickly narrow it down
